Our journey continues as we move forward out of the unprecedented pandemic of 2020 and continue towards our 100th Anniversary in 2029. In July of 2022, The National Trust for Historic Preservation and American Express awarded Teshima Restaurant a grant to help with restoration of our 63 year old structure. Only 25 restaurants were chosen nationwide and 2 were selected from the Big Island of Hawaii. Follow us as we add another chapter to our legacy. We'll continue to keep you updated with our transformation efforts through our social media outlets and on-site at Teshima's. Because of Grandma Teshima and her parents first establishing their roots in our small town of Honalo, we are incredibly honored to be nationally recognized as an establishment worthy of preservation.
