PET CHRONICLES Wow we have so much news to share; I just do not know where to begin. First things first. our first grandchild has arrived! He made his debut in typical fashion and arrived almost 3 weeks early on January 26th at 8:08pm. We loved that he was born at 808. He is healthy and everyone is doing great. Our oldest son Bradly (27) who lives in Colorado said baby Leo is excited to meet his Papa J. Coco and his Auntie E. We are all beyond excited to go visit them as soon as we can get away, Next up we want to wish our daughter the famous Miss E a big Happy Birthday. She turned 15 on February Ist and even though we just did a little something for her at home we made it as special as possible. My homemade strawberry short cake and take out sushi was all she wanted. We all cuddled into the sofa and watched the second episode of "The Gilded Age" and just enjoyed the evening. It was a school night so we were all in bed and sound asleep by 10:30pm I know serious rave right? It was perfect. So far the Hybrid reopening is going pretty well. Not all dients that are eligible (have a scheduled appointmens) to come in do so for clients who are choosing to continue curbside service that is totally fine. It's nice to see a few new faces (some people are dients whom we have never seen in person) and of course to see all the dients who have bcen part of the fabric of our lives for years. As a reminder we are not currently accepting new clients unless they are referred to us by another veterinarian for surgical or a medical case that Dr. Head specifically has been contacted about. We are hoping this is only temporary but right now only current dients or clients who have been to us for veterinary care previously are being seen. As we move into February we are getting lots of calls about the dental special we usually run for the month of February. We are not running that special at this time. We are booked out for surgical appointments already into March and early April for routine surgery. We hope to be able to bring that back in the coming years but we are unable to offer that this year. Thank you all who have reached our about it. For those asking about the dogs, I have had several emails and a couple of private messages from Pike, Rome and Newton fans wondering what they are up to and all I can say is thankfully not much. Other than a couple of nights out at camp Swift and a few minor dietary issues there is just not much to write about. I know, now that I type this, that something crazy is sure to happen and the universe will remember that dogs must be dogs and all this simple laying about, cating the groceries and boring behavior must stop immediately. I hope I have something hilarious to report in the coming weeks. Until then, let's hope the case numbers of COVID keep trending down, we all stay safe and most importantly we all remember to be kind.
